Bears Preview

Bears Had Bye Week to Relive Last Year's Falcons Game

The Bears come out of their bye week right into the fire, with games at Atlanta (9-1 at home since last year) and the surprising Bengals. I've liked this Atlanta team from the beginning of this season and their trashing of the up and coming 49ers last week seems to have put them back on the NFL map. Such silly things as NFL power rankings have them at #8 with the Bears at #12 and that sounds all reasonable enough for me.

The Dreaded Trap Game

There's no good reason the Bears shoud lose that game, other than underestimating the Lions and looking forward to their bye week, in what has been coined by the media as the trap game.

Bears will try to dance around this one and hopefully start the year 3-1.

Bears Better Beat Seahawks or Else

There aren't many must-win games around Week 3, but considering the Seahawks injury report looks like the Cubs disabled list for most of the season, I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say the Bears need to win this game...otherwise the dog gets it.

Keys to a Week 2 Win for the Bears

The Pittsburgh Steelers arrive into town and it makes me wonder if the organization has to ever worry about players defecting like the Cuban national baseball team. Do they arrive in a new city and wonder if Hines Ward will run for the embassy and hope he never has to return to Pittsburgh again?

The NFL.com preview had this interesting note on the game:

When Roethlisberger has a 100-plus passer rating, the Steelers are 29-2 (including the playoffs)

So when the QB plays a really good game, the Steelers win most of their games? I'm shocked to learn this.

So today I unveil my full-proof plan for the Bears to beat the Steelers.
