A Confederacy of Morons

Ted Phillips, Jerry Angelo

As I drove home from work on Tuesday I settled in to listen to Hub Arkush on WSCR.

The next half hour listening it took every cell in my body not to drive my car into a median, as Hub Arkush discusses how "decisions" are made in the front office and on replays.

This makes the Cubs organization look like the Phillies's organization.

Jerry Angelo the king of plausable denial.

Please listen while no sharp objects are around you, knowing that Angelo is signed through 2013.

If the above does not work go to site and go to Boers and Bernstein 5-6 pm podcast-

well that was maddening...

I read somewhere that only two coaches that ever missed the playoffs three years in a row ever came back to win the Super Bowl. Cowher and Chuck Knox were the two...

with Bruce Allen to be the GM....

well Cowher is still available...

Fire da bums already!

Rather have Holgrem then Cowher.

Wouldn't have minded Shanahan with Cutler though.

Holmgren doesn't want to coach, been offered football "czar" position with Browns at $8-10M a year...

Fire da bums already!

I'd offer him that.

I would trust his coach hiring capabilities.

sure, but for obvious reasons that's not happening for the Bears...

more and more it looks like Ron Turner is going to be the only sacrificial lamb

Fire da bums already!

If they lose out, don't be too sure.

(I don't count the Lions, unless they do lose to them)

was it as atrocious as the recap makes it sound?

Fire da bums already!

In the first half the Bears ran a pretty good offense. Forte was running the ball at almost 4 ypc, which is a rare feat this season. Cutler's first pick was a terrible read. His second was an athletic play by a DL to get his fingertips on a screen pass and then catch it out of the air. I think that's when I started cleaning the basement. The second half was the most pathetic display of football since either the Cardinals game or the Bengals game.
