Hendry signs Cutler!!!

By Old and Blue - Posted on 21 October 2009

Jim Hendry, I mean, of course, Jerry DeAngaHendry watched Cutler throw ridiculously insane passes across his body (remember when we all hated Rex Grossman for trying to do that?) and has decided to give the new QB god a new contract.

Of course, unlike Hendry, DeAngelo has found a true star, and it's hard to argue with his decision to wrap him up.

His next decision, though, may be a lot tougher. Because Matt Forte can't seem to get out of the backfield.

Normally, I would say Forte's troubles are on the line. I've played enough football to know that the game lives and dies on the front 4 or 5, but he's getting hammered behind the line of scrimmage, and no really good back lets that happen on a regular basis.

Once or twice, maybe, but he has no power through the 2 or 3 hole, like he did last year.

It's not that I miss the running game, and yearn for a QB that can run the game ala kyle orton.

What frustates me is that we have a great QB who can slice linebackers up while in the pocket, and now we have no running game. What the hell is with that?

Cutler throws off his backfoot a lot as well like Grossman except he seems to complete most of them...

it seems the running game and injuries will be the team's downfall this season...

Fire da bums already!

Better find some offensive linemen that can block or he won't make it out of 2010 alive.

I agree with both you guys but the game is won/lost on the line of scrimmage. So far, the Bears have sucked at that, but even still, you don't want your running back getting hammered before the whistle blows.

Forte has lost his burst. I think he's hurt. He has never been a special back but he can't even hit the 3 hole right now. I guess Lovie thinks none of us has ever played the game.
